Artist Description Of Their Work And/Or Studio

Watercolour. As a figurative or representative painter, my choice of subject is eclectic, but favourites are landscapes, seascapes, still-life, and animals. My formal art training began in the 1950s and for many years I painted in oils and acrylics, but since retirement I have used watercolours exclusively.

Artist Biography

“During 48 years as a journalist and author, in Australia and abroad, I pursued drawing, etching and painting (oils, acrylics) as a hobby. Since retirement I have painted exclusively in watercolours; I find it the most challenging and rewarding. My works have sold well over decades. I have an Arts degree from Sydney University, majoring in History and in Art History and Theory.” Dean Boyce
