Autumn Open Garden Weekend and Plant Fair

Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens, 1 Old South Road, Bowral

Event Date: 26 Apr - 27 Apr 2025, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Three fabulous private gardens rarely open to the public in Burradoo and two in Exeter will open their gates for the weekend in aid of SHBG.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore these hidden gems, each offering a distinct blend of horticultural beauty and creative landscaping.

In Burradoo, the gardens boast a variety of exotic plants, meticulously arranged flower beds, and tranquil water features that create a serene atmosphere. Meanwhile, the gardens in Exeter are celebrated for their lush greenery and charming pathways that meander through colourful blooms and towering trees.

Garden enthusiasts will not only enjoy the visual feast but also gain inspiration for their own gardening projects.

The Plant Fair at the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens in Bowral will feature specialist plant stalls, including native, succulent, cacti, perennials and camellia nurseries offering plants not readily available in general garden centres. And of course, the fabulous plants grown by the botanic gardens.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, the fair promises to be a delightful experience, with something for everyone to discover.

‘Short & Horny’ jazz band will perform live on Sunday, enhancing your experience at the plant fair and making your visit even more delightful.

All proceeds from the weekend will support the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens (SHBG)
