How The Railways Made Bundanoon Exhibition & Walking Tours

The Old Goods Shed, Railway Avenue, Bundanoon NSW, Australia

Event Date: 26 Oct - 27 Oct 2024, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Bundanoon History Group’s latest exhibition “How The Railways Made Bundanoon” opens in the Old Goods Shed (Bundanoon Railway Station Precinct, Railway Avenue Bundanoon, NSW 2578) on Saturday 26th October and is open on both the Saturday and Sunday on that weekend from 10am to 3pm. The exhibition looks at how our small town has developed with the advent of the railway and declined in the 1950s and 1960s as the motor car became the dominant form of transport.

We will be running Bundanoon history walking tours to coincide with the first day of The Bundanoon Garden Ramble on the 26th October and the reopening of the heritage listed buildings of Bundanoon Station after their recent refurbishment. The tours which visit sites around the historic heart of Bundanoon take approximately 1 hour. The tours leave from The Old Goods Shed in Railway Avenue near the Bundanoon Railway Station. The walks are mostly on flat ground. Tickets are $15pp or $35 for a family booking of 2 adults and 2 children. Tour times are 1pm, 1:30pm and 2pm.
