Showing 10-28 March, join artist Mark Sadler for the opening event of this incredible collection of over 50 unseen ceramic works.
Working in both Stoneware and Earthenware, Clay has become a means for Sadler to breathe imagination into form, where he explores his passion for cultural mythology. Sadler artfully translates the monolithic into the intimate through depictions of gods, deities and hybridised animals both imagined and historic. Specifically, Sadler represents the cultures of the Aztec, Celtic, Japanese Shinto, and Indigenous Australian dreamtime and their Megalithic sites around the world.
Sadler is a master of his craft, showing a depth of technical eloquence in his work. His particular use of the ancient Chinese glaze, Celadon features throughout Sadler’s pieces, valued for its glossy transparent qualities which pool beautifully onto his textured and carved surfaces.
Event is not ticketed and COVID health measures will be in place.
Exhibition runs until 28 March, Wed-Sun 10am-3pm.
