On behalf of my family and I, we welcome you to Hidden Valley Farms. Our farm story started over 25 years ago when we first laid eyes on this piece of land, well hidden from everyone’s view. What we saw was a 100 year old farm that was tired and needed passion and devotion to bring it back to life. In its past it was a thriving apple, pear and quince orchard with fruit taken by train to Sydney markets and by ship to England.
In addition to maintaining our fruit orchard and taking care of our hard-working honey bees, our first step into serious agriculture was to plant 800 olive trees and create a boutique olive grove to the highest Australian standards. My Mediterranean heritage helped create one of the tastiest Extra Virgin Oils and fruit you will ever experience! We slowly expanded and created a truffière with over a 1000 English and French Oaks to grow delicious, rich in texture and aroma, French Perigord Black Truffle. We then added a new item to our paddock – our organically grown fresh garlic, which quickly became popular, and is now being used by the finest restaurants in Sydney. Using the freshest ingredients from our backyard, our product range became complete with the addition of unique salt mixes to cater to those customers who are looking for a unique food experience from a single farm.
Today our family farm, which is less than an hour drive from Canberra and a bit more from Sydney, is a place for a peaceful getaway with our produce carefully grown in the most organic ways we know while maintaining eco-friendly and sustainable practices.
